WIP

My clutch that I am working on for the upcoming cruise my amazing hubby is taking me on. I'm not sure I am loving the green. It seemed much more mellow last night when I was working on it. Today in the morning light it is quite neon. Still debating...

Who cares!!! You're going on a cruise! It could be mustard yellow with pink polka dots but you'll still be somewhere sunny (I'm assuming you're going somewhere sunny). How fun for you. :) Oh, and for what its worth, in the blogosphere it doesn't look too neon.

Please share which stitch you used! I like it! I am a pretty basic crocheter, and I usually stitch into only the front or back "loop" (going toward the back with both), or I do regular crochet. I am familiar with double crochet too, and this doesn't look like any of those. I really like it. If you can tell me what it's called, I'll look it up--or describe how to do it, and I'll try. Thank you! :)

I have just seen your post. This is a basic single crochet. I went through both top loops. When I got it as deep as I wanted it I divided in thirds and left the middle third out of the next row for the opening/handle. Then I finished it off with a few more rows of single crochet. I doubled my yarn to make it heavier for the purse so that might make it look different. Hope that helps!!
