Peppers in My Pocket

The only vegetables I am getting out of my garden this year are peppers. Not green peppers or red peppers that I would actually use once in awhile, but jalapeno peppers and banana peppers. I planted these for my hubby who has been gone on business so much that he hasn't got to use any of them and now I am stuck with a pocket full of peppers. My garden has failed me this year, or more likely, I have failed my garden. I actually had to stop along the road and buy tomatoes from someone who was selling them on good faith. Just not exceptable!!! Next year will be better, I swear it!!!!!

The kids and I saw these mushrooms growing in the neighborhood right down from the house so we got out of the van and examined them, and then I took a picture.....

So, what's the difference between a mushroom and a toadstool? I know I don't know!

"Peppers in my pocket" sounds like a good name for a poem. I'm only getting zucchini which nobody likes and is only good in bread, so we're even. My garden looks amazing though. HUGE zucchini plants everywhere! I don't know what I was thinking. In fact, I pulled out a carrot the other day that was about 1-1/2 inches long. Not looking very promising. :)
